The Model 7705 NOx-O2 Analyzer is designed specifically for use in low-NOx CEMS and process control applications. Total NOx is measured using the chemiluminescence method and a high temperature NO2 converter. Oxygen concentration is measured using a high-performance linear-output zirconium oxide cell, making it an ideal replacement for paramagnetic oxygen analyzers.
By combining the NOx and O2 measurements and utilizing an industrial interface designed for extractive CEMS systems, the Brand-Gaus Model 7705 features simpler operation, lower capital cost, lower maintenance, and higher reliability than conventional analyzers for emissions monitoring.
The Model 7705 meets or exceeds 40CFR60 and 40CFR75 demands for relative accuracy, linearity, and calibration drift in low and ultra-low NOx combustion applications.
Advantages Over Conventional Designs
- All solid-state detection: no photomultiplier tubes, high voltage power supplies, or exposed TE-coolers.
- Oxygen calibration and measurement can be made down to 0% O2.
- No valves, pumps, or moving part besides the chassis fan.
- Non-consumptive, non-catalytic converter never wears out, gets poisoned, or needs maintenance.
- Very clean ozone generator design with high frequency drive electronics for trouble-free operation.
- Simple, industrial interface with all diagnostics visible, no menus to navigate or keystrokes to remember.
- Simplified pneumatics and electronics results in low cost and high reliability.
- Requires less than half the sample flow of conventional solutions, requiring a significantly smaller water-removal unit.
- Only one calibration gas (NOx span, nitrogen balance) and zero air required.
- No 2% low O2 calibration gas required as with traditional ZrO2 oxygen analyzers.
- Combined gas sensors provide lower analyzer and integration cost.
